Electronics Arts Inc., publisher of online role-playing game “Majestic,” an interactive thriller involving murder and corporate intrigue, suspended the popular game because of Tuesday’s terrorist attacks in New York and Washington. A spokesman for the leading video game publisher said executives would decide whether to reactivate the game for its tens of thousands of online players.

Majesticlaunched early last month and has been supported by television and radio advertising.

After players register, they get calls, e-mails, faxes and instant-messages containing clues, suggestions, and in some cases, screaming or frantic communications from characters in the story played by actors.
