Cage Tribute, Bowl Fireworks Among Week’s Changes

Because of Tuesday’s attacks, a number of arts, entertainment and leisure events have been canceled or postponed. It is advisable to call venues for confirmation of events.

As of press time, these events had been canceled, changed or postponed:

* There will be no fireworks during the “Fireworks Finale--The First Ten Years!,” now renamed “Anniversary Finale--The First Ten Years!,” at the Hollywood Bowl tonight and Sunday. Singer Billy Gilman will not appear; 16-year-old singer Lauren Frost has been added to the program. The Bowl’s Westwood and Santa Monica park-and-ride locations will be closed through at least Monday.

* The American Cinematheque Award Show honoring Nicolas Cage scheduled for next Saturday will be rescheduled.

* An appearance by Macy Gray at the Beverly Connection Wherehouse Music store scheduled for next Fridayhas been canceled.

* Los Angeles Victory Over Violence Family Youth Festival scheduled for today at USC will be rescheduled.

* The Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds concerts scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at the Wiltern Theatre have been canceled.

* Karen Finley’s performances Thursday through next Saturday at Sushi Performance & Visual Art in San Diego will be rescheduled for January.

* Broadway singer Davis Gaines’ concerts scheduled for Friday and tonight at the Norris Center for the Performing Arts in Rolling Hills Estates have been postponed.

* The opening of Bootstrap Productions’ “Southern Rain” has been delayed a week. It will now run Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 28 through Oct. 20.

* The “Bravo On With the Show” arts education campaign scheduled for this weekend at Hollywood High School has been postponed to Dec. 1 and 2.

* Madonna’s Tuesday concert has been rescheduled for tonight at Staples Center. Because of heightened security measures, ticket-holders should arrive at least an hour ahead of the 8 p.m. show.

* Two Blink-182’s concerts have been rescheduled. The Thursday concert at Arrowhead Pond has been rescheduled for this Sunday. Last Wednesday’s Long Beach Arena concert will be held Wednesday.

* The Black Crowes concert scheduled for this past Tuesday has not yet been rescheduled.

* Jessica Simpson’s concert tonight at the Sun Theatre has been rescheduled for Oct. 28.

* The MuppetFest scheduled for Sept. 22-23 at the Pasadena Center has been postponed indefinitely.

* Sonora Carruseles’ performance has been rescheduled to Thursday at the Sportsmen’s Lodge.

* Zoo District has postponed the opening of its play “Uppa Creek” at the Hudson Backstage Theatre in Hollywood until Friday.

* Clinton Leupp’s “Glorious Wounds ... She’s Damaged,” scheduled for tonight at the Village at Ed Gould Plaza in Hollywood, has been canceled. The show will resume Friday.

* Theatre Pangaea has postponed its opening of “Quake” at the Hollywood Court Theatre until tonight.
