Honor the Flag

It would be of great benefit to those who wish to display the American flag if The Times provided pictures and rules on how our flag should be shown. The flag code is not that complicated, but to show our proper respect such basic things as knowing which side the field of stars should hang on, how to display a flag at night, how to wear a flag and whether part of the flag is allowed to lie on the ground are all part of honoring our country.

Perhaps overcome by feelings of patriotism after the recent national tragedies, I hope whoever appropriated the American flag from my front lawn is now waving it with pride.
