Prince William Ready for a New Set of Chums
Britain’s Prince William says he is looking forward to making friends from all walks of life--including anti-monarchists--when he becomes a student.
The prince is to begin an undergraduate course in art history at Scotland’s St. Andrews University on Monday.
The son of Princess Diana and Prince Charles also said in a newspaper interview that working on a farm was his best experience during a “gap year” after leaving school.
The simple work helped him understand the plight of farmers affected by the foot-and-mouth epidemic that hit Britain, he said. “I got my hands dirty, did all the chores and had to get up at 4 a.m.,” he said.
