Man Sentenced to Death for 9/11 Revenge Killing

A man who gunned down an immigrant working at a gas station after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was sentenced to death.
Mark Stroman, 32, held a small U.S. flag during his sentencing for the Oct. 4 killing of Vasudev Patel, 49, who was from India. Stroman had blamed the shooting on rage over the attacks on New York City and the Pentagon.
Stroman also is charged with killing convenience store clerk Waquar Hassan, 49, a Pakistani immigrant, on Sept. 15.
