Teaching Social Security

I agree with LAUSD Supt. Roy Romer that there are many retirees who will make excellent teachers, just as there are many good recent college graduates with teaching credentials who are good teachers (April 4). What the retiree recruits need to know is that if they expect a pension from the state (five or more years), their Social Security will lessen. The law needs to be changed.
