Taxing Common Sense

Where’s the incentive to become wealthy and productive (“Wallowing in Deficit,” editorial, April 16)? Liberals insist on a progressive tax, in which the more money you make, the greater percentage you pay in taxes; then they turn around and deem any tax cut as being “for the rich.” If those in the top 1% pay vastly more than the bottom 60% in taxes, they will obviously benefit more from a tax cut because they pay more in taxes. May I suggest Economics 101 and a healthy dose of common sense?
