Businesses Seek Fare Cuts, Survey Finds

Major U.S. air carriers, counting on a resumption in business travel to stem billions of dollars in losses after the Sept. 11 attacks, may have to look for relief elsewhere.
The Business Travel Coalition, an advocacy group for corporate travel interests, said its survey found that corporations cut air-fare spending by 16.5% in 2001 from a year earlier and more than half said they want to cut costs even more in 2002.
