Groupe Danone, the world’s largest water bottler by volume, hired Coca-Cola Co. to deliver and market its Evian water in North America after the brand’s U.S. revenue declined 18% last year.

The agreement puts Evian in Coca-Cola’s vending-machine network and the world’s largest soft-drink maker in charge of the brand’s daily management. Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc., 38% owned by Coca-Cola, already sells about half the Evian sold in the U.S.

Atlanta-based Coca-Cola was unchanged at $54.98 on the NYSE.
