Frivolous Lawsuits

Re “Clintons Seeking Taxpayer Money for Legal Bills,” July 27: It seems only right that the Clintons should be reimbursed for their legal fees in defending themselves from the many years of the Republican witch hunt. In addition to making the Clintons whole, some taxpayer group should file a suit against the Republicans to recoup the $70 million of taxpayers’ money--money wasted just for political reasons years after it was determined that there was no credible evidence against the Clintons in the Whitewater affair.

Heck, it shouldn’t be any problem for the Republicans to raise such a sum; just have George W. host a fund-raiser with his big-business buddies.
