Microsoft’s Xbox Live to Go Online Nov. 15

Microsoft Corp. will launch its Xbox Live online video game service Nov. 15. The service will let users of Microsoft’s Xbox console play games online and download extra levels and characters.

Microsoft will sell starter kits consisting of a headset, mini-game and a one-year subscription to the service.

Users must secure their own high-speed Internet access.

Sony Corp., maker of the PlayStation 2 console, is expected to unveil its online strategy Wednesday.
