Goats Being Used to Prevent Wildfires

More than 600 goats are eating ground cover and low foliage throughout oak woodlands here in an effort to help prevent wildfires.

The goats can eat about an acre of brush each day. Every two days, workers move the fences so the goats can nibble through another two acres, while crews clear out remaining brush.
