The Bush administration announced it had resolved a trade dispute that since March had seriously disrupted exports of American chicken products to Russia, the biggest foreign market for U.S. poultry farmers.

The dispute was resolved when negotiators reached agreement on a veterinary certificate that addressed health concerns raised by Moscow.

Russia was concerned about how the chickens were being processed. The U.S. poultry industry maintained that the chicken met the same stringent health standards as in the U.S.
