From Times Wire Reports

Unidentified palm prints and footprints found near the body of slain child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey were made by relatives of the girl and not by an intruder as some have speculated, the Rocky Mountain News reported.

Quoting an anonymous source, the newspaper said investigators have known for some time that the footprint found near the body of the 6-year-old belonged to the girl’s brother, Burke, and that a palm print was left by the girl’s adult half sister, Melinda, and were unrelated to the unsolved murder.

The body of JonBenet, a former Little Miss Colorado, was found beaten and strangled in the basement of the Boulder home of her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, on Dec. 26, 1996--leading to one of the most notorious U.S. crime mysteries of the 1990s.
