Questioning Faith
Forgive my cynicism, but I find that Luis Cruz’s claim of being alive because of his faith in his God, that his prayers were answered because his God was watching over him, makes me wonder where this God was on Sept. 11 (“Faith Kept Stranded Man Alive,” Aug. 22). I’m sure there were many people praying to that same God in those last moments before they died, and I wonder why they weren’t being watched over and saved. As I say, just wondering.
