* Delta Air Lines Inc. agreed to sell tickets through Hotwire.com, an Internet travel discounter owned in part by rival airlines. The tickets are at specially negotiated discount fares, said closely held Hotwire.

* Vivendi Universal, the world’s second-largest media company, aims to sell its Hungarian unit, the biggest rival to Matav, the country’s former phone monopoly, said Sandor Polanyi, the unit’s chief executive.

* PNC Financial Services Group Inc. said Chief Financial Officer Robert Haunschild resigned, the fourth executive to leave Pennsylvania’s biggest bank since regulators increased supervision in July because of improper accounting. The bank tapped William Demchak from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. as CFO and vice chairman.

* Internet service providers would be required to notify customers 30 days before canceling their service or transferring them to another provider under a bill passed by the California Senate. The Senate voted 21-11 to send AB1814 to the Assembly for a vote on Senate amendments. Assemblywoman Sarah Reyes (D-Fresno) wrote the legislation.
