From Times Wire Reports

A man charged with killing a Long Island priest and a parishioner at church services last winter will not face the death penalty.

Peter Troy was indicted on first-degree murder charges in the March 12 shootings of the Rev. Lawrence Penzes, 50, and Eileen Tosner, 73, in Our Lady of Peace church in Lynbrook.

Nassau County Dist. Atty. Denis Dillon has never sought the death penalty. Troy, 34, faces life in prison without parole if convicted.
