How Springsteen Inspires

There is only one Springsteen (“Rock, With Respect,” by Robert Hilburn, Aug. 26). His show at the Forum Saturday night gave his fans exactly what they needed and wanted: inspiration that we can and will go on from Sept. 11.

Few, if any, can touch his ability to communicate with audiences. He is, in effect, a thinking man’s evangelist. No pandering or preaching ... you are on his level and he delivers his message, so we hear it and believe it. Thanks, Mr. Springsteen.
