Pop Star Gloria Trevi to Be Extradited to Mexico
From Times Wire Reports
Brazil’s Supreme Court has ordered the Justice Ministry to expedite the extradition of pop singer Gloria Trevi to her native Mexico, where she faces charges of kidnapping and corruption of minors.
According to the Mexican-Brazilian extradition treaty, the two countries now have 60 days to arrange for Trevi’s return to Mexico.
Last week, Trevi said she would stop her three-year fight against extradition and asked to be allowed to return to Mexico to defend herself.
