U.S. Adds to Its List of Potential Carcinogens

Sawdust, tanning beds and hormonal treatments, including menopause therapies and birth-control pills, are among new additions to the U.S. government’s list of potential cancer-causing agents.
The congressionally mandated National Toxicology Program “Report on Carcinogens” now lists 228 items that are “known” or “reasonably anticipated” to cause cancer.
