1999 Livernano Puro Sangue

Share

Puro Sangue -- “pure blood” -- is Sangiovese through and through, and what a testament to the aristocratic Tuscan grape. Deep red and furred with tannin, this wine has a scent of dark berries and earth and a long, lovely finish. It’s a wine to pour for the holidays or lay away for a few years. Some stores still have the ’98 vintage but should be getting the ’99 soon.
