Competition for Greenlight is on
The second Project Greenlight film competition is under way, promising a TV series for HBO and a movie project for Miramax.
The producers have selected 12 directors and 13 writers as finalists, with one team to be named at the Sundance Film Festival to receive production funding of at least $1 million. Miramax will release the movie, as it did with the first Project Greenlight winner, “Stolen Summer.”
Meanwhile, the competition itself and then the production of the movie will be chronicled in a 13-part TV series for HBO.
