Stretch away holiday stress

This is a great stretch to release tension in your back and shoulders. Move in and out of this position slowly and breathe deeply while you maintain the stretch.

1 On a cushioned surface or mat, begin by resting on your hands and knees. Slide your left arm forward on the floor, making sure that your hips stay raised directly above your knees. Try not to sit back toward your heels.

2 Reach your right arm under your body and through the space between your left arm and hip. Rest your right shoulder and right side of your head on the floor. Try to get your right shoulder directly below your left shoulder, while you keep your hip bones facing the floor. Hold the position for 10 to 20 seconds. Repeat on the other side.
