Having a Baby

Re “Proposal Calls Fetus a ‘Child’ for Health Care,” Feb. 1: Baby animals are called colt, calf, kitten, etc. I never heard of them called a fetus. I never knew of one woman who thought, “I’m having a fetus.” Let’s quit playing name games. This proposal will afford low-income women prenatal care, which will give them a better chance to have heathy babies. Morally and economically, it’s the right thing to do.
