Evening of Poetry Set at Cal Lutheran

Urban verse will be in the spotlight Wednesday as Cal Lutheran stages an evening of poetry and entertainment as part of the university’s Black History Month celebrations.

Poetronigirl will bring her roni’z Bakstreeet poetri and Poetic Funk to the Student Union at 6 p.m. The campus is at 60 W. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.

A native of Mississippi raised in Washington, Poetronigirl describes her style of verse as “Southern Fri’d” poetry that draws from her memories of down-home family reunions.
