“After the holidays, I’m really going back to lighter food, like sushi, and I like stuff that is spicy, like Thai food. So I find myself drinking Pinot Gris and sparkling wine. Those are two wines that go great with spicy stuff, Pacific Rim food. One that was good was a New Zealand Pinot Gris, the 2001 Villa Maria. It has enough acidity and bite without being too harsh to marry well with the food.”
