Weapons Diplomacy
President Bush’s threats to other nations that they should abstain from developing weapons of mass destruction would carry much more weight and moral authority if he would concurrently reduce our own nuclear capabilities rather than withdrawing from treaties designed to lessen their proliferation (Jan. 31). Is this not an obvious double standard?
