Library Celebrates Reagan’s 91st Birthday
Hundreds of people flocked to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum on Wednesday to celebrate the 91st birthday of the former president.
The festivities included the dedication and planting ceremony of 20 cherry trees as well as a martial arts demonstration and several cakes.
Reagan, who announced in 1994 that he has Alzheimer’s disease, no longer makes public appearances. However, his wife, Nancy, sent the presidential library her regards in a letter.
With this birthday, Reagan becomes the only president to live to be 91 years old. Presidents John Adams and Herbert Hoover each died at the age of 90.
