Festivities to Mark Opening of Skate Parks

The city will open its free mobile skate parks Saturday at the Police Activities League Youth Resource Center, 251 South K St.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m. and will include demonstrations by professional skateboarders. Food and music will also be featured.
The city will operate two skating facilities. Both will be set up at the youth resource center on Saturday. One will remain at the center; the other will rotate among different sites beginning in March.
All skaters must register and present a photo ID. Those under 18 must have a release signed by a parent or guardian.
