Customs Serves Notice on Banned Medications

U.S. Customs Service officials warned cross-border shoppers Friday that it will soon begin confiscating medications bought at a Tijuana pharmacy chain named on a government list of businesses with suspected ties to narcotics trafficking.
Beginning Feb. 15, inspectors at the border will start seizing merchandise purchased at the Farmacia Vida Suprema chain, which appeared Jan. 31 on a U.S. Treasury Department list of 27 businesses and individuals suspected of serving as fronts for drug kingpins.
