Teen Killed in Suspected Gang-Related Attack

An 18-year-old was fatally shot Saturday in what authorities believe was a gang-related attack.
Jamal Nelson of Lennox was standing in the 1100 block of West 102nd Street near Vermont Avenue when two men started shooting, said Sheriff’s Deputy William M. Spear.
The killers were last seen running east on 102nd. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (323) 890-5500.
