TIMES STAFF WRITER

Dodici Giardini, also known as the House of 12 Gardens, is a Tuscan/contemporary-style farmhouse in Pacific Palisades.

It was designed by architects Moore Ruble Yudell and interior designer Richard Brayton to create an interplay between indoor and outdoor rooms, or gardens. Pavilions, towers, terraces and pergolas shelter the living areas while affording views of Santa Ynez Canyon and Topanga State Park. The house was built in 1996.

About this house: The entrance hall opens to a country-style living room with cherrywood floor, spruce ceiling battens and sliding mahogany shutters, which are used throughout the house.
