From Times Staff Reports
A blaze that began in the family fireplace caused $250,000 in damage to a home Monday and sent a woman to the hospital, Battalion Chief Andy Grzywa said.
About 3:30 p.m., firefighters were called to the 400 block of North Parsons Street, where they found an attic in flames.
A 34-year-old woman who complained of shortness of breath was taken to Brea Community Hospital, where she was treated and released, Grzywa said.
