No D.A.s for Judge

Share

Amazing. The Times recommends sitting jurists or prosecutors waiting to be jurists for election in the upcoming March primary (editorial, Feb. 20). No wonder our justice system is so skewed toward prosecution. A defendant has to face two prosecutors-the district attorney and the district attorney in robes (the judge). A law should be passed to prevent district attorneys from ascending to the bench. If passed, that law could prevent the overabundance of malicious and entirely unwarranted prosecutions conducted by the L.A. County district attorney and his cronies, the prosecutor (judge) in robes.
