Probe Launched Into 1968 Student Massacre
From Times Wire Reports
Atty. Gen. Rafael Macedo de la Concha has opened an investigation into the 1968 massacre of student demonstrators in Mexico City.
His office said it would seek to learn who was responsible for opening fire on the protesters, reportedly killing about 300.
The Supreme Court ruled that prosecutors must investigate the Oct. 2, 1968, incident even if the statute of limitations had expired.
