These Money Woes Not Worthy of Sympathy

Share

I really feel for the subjects of “Family Choking on Debt Faces Drastic Cuts,” [Dec. 25]. Imagine one’s income dropping from $110,000 to--gasp!--$77,000 and suddenly becoming the subject of pity!

What, no more $100 cable bills? I’m sorry, but what on earth are they doing even thinking $100 for the 10 channels of cable they actually watch is worth it? And no more pricey and trendy coffee shops? Boo hoo!

Please, don’t ask us to pity these people when so many others in Los Angeles don’t even come close to the level of financial comfort of these two. Sure, they have “money problems,” but leave the series to people who aren’t so shallow.
