A Wild Camera Ride
Kevin Thomas’ excellent review of “Les Destinees” induced my husband and me to go see it (“A Timeless Portrait of Marriage and Maturation in ‘Les Destinees,’” May 17). Unfortunately, Thomas did not tell his readers that the camerawork goes from hand-held to swooping to extreme close-ups.
I am one of many people who are made physically ill by all that movement. It would be much appreciated if your reviewers would mention it in their critiques. Maybe you could include a symbol in the credits section--perhaps a camera with a wavy line above it. Some such notification would save us from a wild goose chase and the frustration of starting a movie and then having to leave.
