Science Is Not the Ultimate Judge

I read “Justice Is Blind to Scientific Evidence” (Commentary, June 3), wherein Bart Kosko says, in so many contemptuous words (seeming to confuse opinion with science), that persons in disagreement with his opinion that “humans developed from earlier species of animals” essentially have oatmeal between their ears.

Can he really be so self-deluded to think that people who refuse to bow to his desperately held belief in evolution do so without careful consideration of the facts? Can a USC professor who may believe, ultimately, that the entire unimaginably massive universe derived from absolutely nothing be a good judge of those with acumen and those without? But, of course, just remind everyone that this logical impossibility occurred over bazillions of years and somehow that will sanitize the utter foolishness of it. We’ve lost our minds
