Revenue Climbs 59%

DPAC Technologies Corp., a Garden Grove maker of stacked memory chips, said a change in product mix helped it boost sales 59% and net income nearly eightfold to $803,000, or 4 cents a share, for its fiscal first quarter, from $111,000, or 1 cent a share, for last year’s first three months. Revenue rose to $11.9 million for the quarter ended May 31. DPAC said 67% of its revenue came from sales of memory stacking as compared with 43% a year ago.

DPAC shares rose 23 cents to $2.74 on Nasdaq.
