Bad Weather Delays Shuttle Landing

From Times Wire Reports

Bad weather in Florida forced NASA managers to postpone the landing of the space shuttle Endeavour, leaving the record-setting former crew of the International Space Station in orbit at least a day longer.

Broad bands of rain and clouds swept over the Kennedy Space Center, and the possibility of thunderstorms and hail caused NASA to call off two landing opportunities at 12:59 and 2:36 p.m.

The weather was not expected to be any better at the Kennedy Space Center today. The shuttle has enough food and supplies on board to stay in space until Thursday, officials said.
