Authorities believe that Petrosyan and co-defendant Gregorin Babayan, 27, of Reseda used counterfeit credit cards in August and September to buy $6,172 worth of merchandise at a jewelry store and $1,933 worth of goods at a clothing store.

Petrosyan also participated in using a counterfeit credit card to buy $6,963 worth of goods from another retailer at the outlet mall. Babayan was sentenced in February to 180 days in jail.
