Insanity Defense
Re “Jurors Find Attias Insane,” June 21: Regarding David Attias, how insane can one be, theoretically, when one attends a university, drives a European car solo around town, smokes marijuana and parties very frequently? Clearly our justice system has once again demonstrated that murder of four innocent lives is not OK--unless one or one’s parents have got the filthy lucre and the fame. Compassion for the rich and famous is a social disease from which even our supposedly just and fair judicial system is not immune.
