“When I first started practicing here, they thought I was a witch doctor. People said what I was doing was nonsense, or worse, poison. It’s better now. Still, it’s very good news that the American government is spending money to research Chinese medicine. This country uses too many chemicals. They prescribe pills, and pills cause side effects, then they prescribe more pills for the side effects.

“I’m not against Western medicine. On the contrary, I support it. My hope is that if the government researches this further, Eastern and Western medicine will enjoy more collaboration.”
