* Cadiz Inc. reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $9.3 million, or 26 cents a share, compared with a loss of $7 million, or 20 cents, a year ago, as revenue fell 8.6% to $16 million. The Santa Monica company said that its agricultural operations are beginning to turn around after a two-year slump.
* Commercial nursery operator Hines Horticulture Inc. of Irvine agreed to sell its Canadian unit to a new Canadian income fund. Hines plans to use the estimated net proceeds of $113 million from the sale to pay down debt.
* Fluor Corp. sold its equipment-rental unit, S&R; Equipment Co., to United Rentals Inc., for undisclosed terms.
