Army Releases Names of 3 Soldiers Who Died

The names of three soldiers killed Friday at Fort Irwin have been released.
The men died during a training exercise when a mortar round exploded prematurely at the base, 120 miles east of Los Angeles near Barstow.
The soldiers were: Pvt. Oscar Perez-Jimenez, 19, of West Covina; Sgt. Clifton J. Decklar, 22, of Shelton, Wash.; and Spc. Bobby L. Newton, 27, of New Orleans.
