This wine shows why 1994 is considered a spectacular vintage in Rioja. Scents of leather and autumn, sweet ripe fruit and burnished tannins weave a marvelously complex blend of flavors that will only improve as it matures. The price is a bargain for a gran reserva. With this vintage, the famous old Palacios Remondo estate has regained its focus.
