Two Firefighters Die in Effort to Save Colleague
From Times Wire Reports
Two firefighters who charged into a flaming building in St. Louis to look for a third who was missing ended up dying, but the missing man made his way to safety.
By the time Derek Martin and Rob Morrison, both 38-year-old married fathers, were found in Friday night’s four-alarm fire at a refrigeration company, it was too late to save them, fire officials said. They died at a hospital.
Bouquets of flowers, a stuffed animal and small American flags were placed outside the burned-out building Saturday.
