Rescue Dogs Featured at Preparedness Expo
From Times staff and wire reports
The eighth annual Simi Valley Emergency Preparedness Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on Tapo Street, north of Eileen Street.
Highlighting the outdoor event will be a team of canines from the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation that aided in locating victims at the World Trade Center. The search dogs and their handlers will take part in a simulated calamity to locate and remove volunteers from a rubble pile.
