Homemade Guillotine Kills Tax Protester

SLOVAKIA
A Slovak man who had fallen behind in paying his taxes died after trying to decapitate himself with a homemade guillotine, police said.
The 56-year-old man drove his car in front of the tax office in the western Slovak town of Malacky late last month, pulled out a device, stuck his head in it and tried to decapitate himself, police said.
The man left a message, saying that he could no longer pay his taxes, which totaled about $542.
