Clerk-Recorder’s Duties for Board Reassigned

Over the protest of Clerk-Recorder Richard Dean, the county Board of Supervisors agreed Tuesday to shift some clerical duties from the clerk-recorder’s division to the county manager’s office.
Supervisor Kathy Long said it would be more efficient for the duties of the board’s clerk to be supervised by County Executive Officer Johnny Johnston. The clerk of the board prepares meeting agendas and documents for the Board of Supervisors.
